Best Digital Products to Sell on Whop in 2026 (By Odds)

Most 'what to sell' lists rank niches by revenue. We ranked them by your odds of earning anything — and the best category is 20x better than the worst.

Every "what to sell online" list ranks niches by how much money is in them. That is the wrong question. A category with $1M in monthly revenue and 5,000 sellers is worse than one with $800K and 500 sellers.

So we ranked Whop's biggest digital-product categories by a different metric: what share of listings actually earn anything. Across the platform, 32,395 of 393,593 products have measurable revenue — a baseline of 8.2%. Some categories beat that by 3x. Some are seven times worse.

Ranked by Odds, Not Revenue

Here are nine major digital-product categories, sorted by the share of listings that earn measurable revenue.

💡

Amazon FBA coaching and video clipping agencies sit at opposite ends: 22.8% versus 1.1%. A seller entering FBA coaching is roughly 20 times more likely to earn something than one starting a clipping agency — before either writes a word of copy.

The Revenue Trap

Look at video clipping agencies again. $703K in category revenue puts it mid-table by money — respectable enough to appear on any "top niches" list. But that $703K is split among 49 earners out of 4,625 listings. The other 4,576 make nothing.

Ecommerce education tells the same story more gently: the largest category by revenue ($1.05M), but only 9.5% of its 1,847 listings earn, and the median earner takes home $262/month.

Total category revenue measures how much money buyers spend. It says nothing about your odds of receiving any of it. Those are different questions, and only one of them is about you.

Where the Median Actually Pays

Odds get you in the door. The median earner tells you what's behind it.

⚠️

Generic "digital product creation" is the single worst place to start: 3,207 listings, 6% earn anything, and the median earner clears $10/month. It is the category people pick when they haven't picked a category.

UGC creation is the standout. It has the second-best odds, the highest median earner of any category here, and only 407 listings competing — the smallest field in the table. It also happens to sit next to the clipping economy, which is where most of the attention (and most of the competition) went instead.

Why Specificity Wins

The pattern across all nine categories is consistent: the more specific the promise, the better the odds.

"Amazon FBA coaching" is specific — a buyer knows exactly what problem it solves and can judge whether you've solved it. "Digital product creation" is not. It has 6x the listings of FBA coaching, a third of the odds, and a median earner making less than a cup of coffee.

Key Takeaways

1. Pick the category before the product

Category choice sets your ceiling more than execution does. A median UGC creation seller out-earns a median digital-product-creation seller 65 to 1, and neither is trying harder than the other.

2. Count listings, not dollars

Category revenue is a measure of buyer demand, not seller opportunity. Divide it by the listing count before you get excited. $703K across 4,625 listings is $152 per listing.

3. Crowded and lucrative are not opposites

Agency building has 2,559 listings — crowded by any standard — and still returns a $519 median with 10.7% odds. Saturation only kills you when the category is also undifferentiated. Buyers can tell agency-building offers apart. They cannot tell generic digital products apart.

4. The best odds are in the boring categories

Amazon FBA coaching is not a trend. It has been a business for a decade, which is exactly why 22.8% of its listings earn money: the buyers are real, the problem is legible, and the people chasing trends went to clipping instead.

Methodology

Categories use Whop's industry_type taxonomy. "Odds" is the share of listings in a category with measurable estimated revenue. Revenue estimates derive from publicly available pricing, member counts, and review data — they are estimates, not verified financials. Median earner excludes zero-revenue listings.
